Dragon Slaying Advice

Yoga teacher and snarky journalist, Mark Morford, shared this insight while describing his latest yoga workshop. I think I’ll spend some time contemplating this nugget of wisdom. Thanks, Mark!

“There are two ways to slay a dragon.

One is to armor up, hold our breath and attack straight on, hoping you don’t get swallowed whole like a cute little tofu cupcake. Most of us know this approach all too well.

Or, two, you grab that divine beast, wrap your arms around it, throw it off balance and begin to tame it, bring it into perspective, begin to see the dragon for what it really is: a phantasm, an illusion, a thing you can actually live with.”
